The Brief
Two hours in your home, talking through how you live and what you want to change. You leave with a written design direction and a clear plan for what comes next.
- A short questionnaire, sent in advance, so the two hours focus on what matters most to you
- A walk through the rooms you'd like to discuss: what works, what doesn't, and why
- A written Design Direction Document to keep
- A recommended sequence for the design stages, so each decision is made in the right order, before the build begins
A Room, Resolved
For the room you've been meaning to sort out for years. I take it from brief to finished design, so every decision is made before the work starts.
- The Brief: a visit to see the room in person, with a detailed conversation
- A design concept built around how you live
- Spatial planning to the centimetre, so the room flows and everything fits
- Every material, finish and fixture chosen and costed
- Contractor-ready drawings and a lighting plan, so the trades know what to build
- Optional sourcing at trade prices: I place the orders in your name and handle everything with the suppliers, and you pay them directly, for a 12% procurement fee
- Design fee: from £2,000, The Brief (£350) included
- Exact fee agreed after The Brief, based on the room's size and complexity
The Layout Plan
A good layout comes down to three things: how it flows, how it fits your life, and how well it works every day. While your architect shapes the building, I plan the inside around you, before anything is built.
- A conversation about how you live, and where the layout doesn't yet work for you
- A room-by-room layout concept, talked through with you in person or by video call, for example changes to walls, doors and openings, storage, and the arrangement of furniture, fittings and equipment
- Once agreed, the new layout and furniture plan drawn up in CAD, ready for your architect, structural engineer or builder
- Design fee: from £850
- Exact fee agreed once I've seen your plans
- Best booked before your plans are finalised
The Lighting Plan
You feel the light in your home every day. Layered lighting lets each room change its mood with you: clear and bright when you need to focus, warm and soft when it's time to unwind. I plan it room by room, before your ceilings go up, so each room can feel the way you want it to, at any time of day.
- A full lighting scheme, ready at first fix, when your electrician needs it
- Layers of light in every room: general, task and accent
- Positions for every pendant, wall light and downlight
- Switches and dimmers where you'll actually reach for them
- Socket positions can be added, once your furniture layout is fixed
- A schedule your electrician can work from directly
- Design fee: from £1,200

- Best booked with The Layout Plan, or once your furniture layout is fixed

Every detail drawn and written down, so the trades know what to build and you know what you're getting. If you'd like, I can source everything at trade prices and handle the orders with each supplier on your behalf, while you pay them directly.
Seeing It Through
I'm available for site visits during the build, so what was decided on paper is carried through on site.
